PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - East Tennessee State University women's golf team is in a tie for ninth place following a second-round 304 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf Club.
East Tennessee State is tied with Coastal Carolina with a 36-hole total of 584. The Buccaneers are two strokes behind UNC-Greensboro and one stroke ahead of Lipscomb and Stetson.
Sophia Gambini moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard after her second-round one-over-par 72. The sophomore carded three birdies and now sits in a tie for 14th place.
Asia Piyamanit is in a tie for 24th place after her second-round five-over-par 76.
McKenzie Hauk is third in the Bucs' lineup after a second-round eight-over-par 79 leaves her in a tie for 54th place.
Aliezah Robinson and
Francisca Moritz are both in a tie for 78th place. Moritz had a second-round six-over-par 76 as Robinson shot 82 for a 152 total through 36 holes.
Playing as an individual,
Elzbieta Aldana Leonardo fired a second-round six-over-par 77 to sit in a tie for 37th place through the first two days of play.
The final round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge begins tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. The Bucs are paired with Coastal Carolina, Lipscomb, and Stetson.
