CLEMSON, S.C. - East Tennessee State University women's golf team shot a first-round 295 and a second-round 291 in the Tiger Classic at The Walker Course in Clemson, S.C.

East Tennessee State finished its season opener in fifth place with a 36-hole total of 586. The Buccaneers finished two strokes behind West Georgia and seven strokes ahead of UNC-Greensboro. 

Arisa Piyamanit led the way for the Bucs with a first-round five-over par 77 and a second-round five-under par 67 for a 36-hole total of 144. The sophomore carded nine birdies in the second round, leaving her in a tie for seventh place. 

Tied for 18th place were Aliezah Robinson and Sophia Gambini, who each shot a one-over 73 in the first round followed by a two-over 74 in the second round. 

McKenzie Hauk shot an opening round one-over 73 followed by a second round four-over 76 for a 149 total to finish in a tie for 24th place. 

Rounding out the Buccaneers' lineup was Elzbieta Aldana Leonardo with a first- and second -round four-over 76 for a tournament total of 152. 

Playing as an individual was Francisca Moritz, who shot a first-round five-over 77 and a second-round even-par 72 to finish in a tie for 24th place. 

Up next, the Bucs will compete in the Golfweek Fall Classic at Caledonia Golf Club in Pawley's Island, S.C.
