JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - East Tennessee State University men's golf team was ranked 19th in the 2026-27 season's second Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll, announced on Friday. 

East Tennessee State was previously unranked, but its 21-under par victory at the Highlands Invitational vaulted it to 19th in the poll. 

The team had 179 points, eight points behind number 18 Oklahoma and three points above number 20 Oklahoma. 

This marks the program's highest ranking since they were polled at 20th on April 15, 2024, and the highest ranking under head coach Aaron O'Callaghan. 

The Buccaneers have competed in two tournaments in the 2026-27 season, taking home one win and one second-place finish. 

In the season opener, Inverness Intercollegiate, the Buccaneers placed second, besting seven of the top 25 teams in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll. 

Up next, the Bucs will head to the Lone Star State for the Trinity Forest Invitational at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas, Oct. 4-6.
