TOLEDO, Ohio - East Tennessee State University men's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Inverness Intercollegiate with its final round two over par 286 on Tuesday at Inverness Club. 

East Tennessee State tied for second place with Toledo after the Rockets shot 277 in the final round. The Buccaneers were one shot off of the tournament-winning Auburn Tigers. 

Erik Tjarnberg finished the tournament in fifth place after his final-round one-under-par 70 moved him to one over par for the 54-hole event with a total of 214. The freshman carded three birdies in his final round. 

Veigar Heidarsson led the team today with a three-under-par 68, which moved him to a tie for 12th place. The sophomore had four birdies in his final round to finish with a 54-hole total of 216. 

Oli Blackadder shot an even-par 71 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 220. He finished in a tie for 26th place. 

Richard Saunders had a six-over-par 77 on Tuesday for a 223 tournament total and finished in a tie for 52nd place. 

Gavin Tiernan rounded out the Bucs' lineup with a final-round 82 to finish the opening week of play with a 226 total and a T67 finish. 

The Bucs are back in action at the Highlands Invitational, Sept. 21-22, at Chicago Highlands in Chicago, Illinois.
