Bucs Cruise Past Bradley, 15-2

ETSU completes the four-game weekend sweep of the Braves

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 15, 2026) – The ETSU baseball team wrapped up its stellar weekend at Thomas Stadium with a 15-2 win over Bradley on Sunday afternoon. Sunday's win, which was in seven innings, boosts ETSU's overall record to 15-4 and its home record to 13-1.

ETSU received contributions throughout the lineup on Sunday as every player who started the game reached base at least once and eight of the nine tallied hits or drove in a run. Jamie Palmese matched a career-high with four hits in a 4-for-5 day at the plate with two RBI. Tristan Curless added to his team-leading RBI total with four in a 2-for-4 effort. Nate Conner, Tyler Fetterman, and Gabe Juarez also had two-hit days for the Bucs. Juarez notched ETSU's lone home run in the win, which was his first of 2026.

On the mound, the Bucs used six pitchers during the seven-inning contest. Evan Rolison got the start and the win after tossing 2.2 shutout frames to begin the afternoon. Thomas Costarelli, Derek McCarley, Colin Eaton, and Curless also registered scoreless appearances out of the Buccaneer bullpen.

The Buccaneers did not waste much time in gaining the early advantage on Sunday. ETSU scored two in the first, six in the second, two in the third, four in the fourth to jump out to a 14-0 lead on Bradley. The Braves did get two runs on the board in the fifth, but Juarez answered with a solo home run in the bottom half of the frame to close out the scoring.

With Sunday's win, ETSU is 13-1 at Thomas Stadium this spring, which is the team's best start since 2019 when it also won 13 of its first 14 in Johnson City. The Bucs held Bradley to three runs or fewer in all four games this weekend. Paired with last Sunday's 13-0 win at James Madison, the Buccaneer pitching staff has allowed three runs or fewer in five straight games. The last time ETSU's pitchers accomplished that feat was in 2019 when they held Georgia State (twice) and NJIT (three times) to that mark. Offensively, the Bucs have now scored 10 or more runs in five straight games for the first time since last season when they had a streak of six such games.

ETSU will head out on the road for four games in the state of North Carolina next week. The road swing starts on Tuesday when the Bucs visit UNC Asheville. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. from Asheville.
