2026 Season (Senior) - During his final season with the Bucs, Cotten pitched in 15 games all out of the bullpen...His 15 appearances covered 19 innings and Cotten compiled an ERA of 3.32 in those frames...He also posted a 3-1 record and held opposing batters to a .203 batting average...He collected victories against Marist, Quinnipiac, and James Madision in 2026...Arguably his best outing came on February 20 against Sacred Heart where he threw three no-hit innings and struck out six...Seven of his 15 outings were longer than one inning.
2025 Season (Junior) - As a junior, Cotten made 17 appearances out of the Buccaneer bullpen...The Lexington, S.C. native threw a total of 23.2 innings on the season and totaled 22 strikeouts...Had six multi-inning appearances in 2025...Began his junior campaign with four consecutive scoreless outings...His top performance of the season came on March 18, when he threw two shutout innings and was the winning pitcher in ETSU's win over No. 1 Tennessee...Cotten also tallied a win and a save in the Bucs' series sweep over VMI in early May...Threw a season-high 3.1 innings against USC Upstate on March 28 and totaled a season-high total in strikeouts too (four)...Tossed a pair of innings in the SoCon Tournament for ETSU in its 14-8 win over Samford.Â
2024 Season (Sophomore) - In his second season with the Bucs, Cotten led the team with 22 appearances...Working exclusively out of the bullpen, Cotten tossed 21.2 innings and struck out 22 batters in 2024...Started the season well as he did not allow an earned run through his first eight appearances...Seven of his 22 outings were longer than one inning...Matched a season-high with two strikeouts on February 25 vs. Rider and on March 15 vs. Villanova...Pitched a season-high two innings in a win over The Citadel on April 27.Â
2023 Season (Freshman) -Â Made 13 appearances out of the bullpen ... Pitched 17.0 innings and posted a 1-0 record with a 9.87 ERA ... Made an impressive rookie debut against Toledo on opening weekend in a series-deciding game, entering with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning of a 2-2 ball game, striking out the final hitter to strand the bases full and then recording two more strikeouts in a 1-2-3 ninth inning to guide ETSU to a 3-2 victory ... Had five more scoreless outings after Toledo, including 1.1 innings against Georgia Southern, two frames against Radford and Presbyterian and single innings against Clemson and Tennessee Tech ... Finished with 13 strikeouts.
Prior to ETSU - Prepped at P27 Baseball Academy — a sports school in Lexington, S.C. ... Was the 50th overall player in the state from the 2022 class, including the 10th-ranked right-handed pitcher ... Also played first base at P27 Academy...Majoring in Academic Focus.
