2026 Season (Junior) - In his first season with the Bucs, Matlock appeared in 36 games and made 34 starts...Served as ETSU's primary third baseman for the majority of the season...The California native hit .296 with eight home runs and 29 RBI...He made his ETSU debut on February 14 against Marist...Had eight multi-hit games...His eight home runs ranked third on the team...Slugged homers against James Madison, Bradley, UNC Greensboro, Virginia Tech, The Citadel, and Western Carolina...Smashed a pair of home runs against The Citadel in a game on April 17...Nearly half of Matlock's 34 hits were for extra bases (16)...Knocked in multiple runs on nine occasions...Posted a four-hit day against UNC Greensboro on March 22. 

Prior to ETSU - Matlock was a three-year letter winner at Cypress High School where he was an All-Conference selection three times...Spent the last two seasons playing for Cypress Junior College...During his time as a Charger, Matlock played in 69 games and hit .392 with 10 home runs and 47 RBI...31 of his 85 hits over those two seasons were for extra bases...Posted a 1.114 OPS in 2024 and 2025...Nearly had a 1:1 strikeout to walk ratio at the junior college level (31 walks, 39 strikeouts)...Was a Preseason SoCal All-American ahead of the 2025 season...Named to the Honor Roll multiple times during his time at Cypress.
