JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Former East Tennessee State men's golfer Adrian Meronk took a 20-under-par victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday at Carnoustie Championship Course.
Meronk shot 71-66–63-68 for the victory. He now has seven professional wins, five on the European Tour, and earned full European Tour membership with the win.
The former Buccaneer shot a final-round 4-under 68 to win the tournament at 20-under par, two strokes ahead of Casey Jarvis and Niklas Norgaard.
While at East Tennessee State, Meronk received All-American honors from PING and Golfweek, while also being selected to the PING All-Region Team in the 2014-15 season. He was also named to the Second Team All-Atlantic Sun and Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Teams in 2012-13 and received Second Team All-Atlantic Sun and PING All-Regional honors in 2013-14.
Another former Buc, Michael Stewart, finished in a tie for fourth place in the event. Stewart led the tournament after a seven-under-65 in the first round and followed that up with 71-69-66 to finish at 17 under par in a tie for fourth place with Tommy Fleetwood.
