Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. - East Tennessee State women's soccer continued in the non-conference slate on Thursday night, where they faced SEC foe Kentucky at the Bell Soccer Complex. The Bucs (now 1-1-1) fell to the Wildcats (3-0) 2-1, with Kentucky gaining a late-game advantage at the 88'.Â

Alex Beck collected her first collegiate goal, tying the squad with the 'Cats, at the 56', with an assist from junior defender
Ella Parker. Parker's assist was just the third of her career, marking one assist scored per season of collegiate action.
The offense remained consistent, with six members of the squad recording a shot on goal and eight marking a shot. Â

McKlain Jones,
Ava Duffey,
Georgia Shields and
Addison Yelton topped the minutes chart with each individual remaining active on the field for the entire duration of play.
On the defensive end, Yelton held Kentucky to two goals after facing 12 shots and six on goal. The redshirt sophomore goalkeeper tallied an ETSU career-high three saves in the contest.
The Bucs totaled one goal, one assist, 12 shots and six shots on goal against the Wildcats.
ETSU returns to action on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. versus Eastern Kentucky in a game that has been moved to the Lexington Sporting Club complex in Lexington, Ky. and will remain on the road to face Tennessee Tech on Aug. 28 before returning home to Summers-Taylor Stadium on Aug. 31 to host Longwood.
