SALEM, Va. (Oct. 19, 2024) – Senior
Rebekah Howard posted a fourth-place finish, while seven Buccaneers set personal bests as the ETSU women's cross country team competed at the Roanoke Invitational on Saturday at Green Hill Park in Salem, Va.
Making their final tune-up before next month's conference championship, the Bucs finished second in the team scoring with 49 points. Liberty finished first with 32 points, while Radford (66 points), Lynchburg (86 points) and Washington and Lee (148 points) rounded out the top five.
Howard crossed the line in fourth with a time of 20:53.1, while
Bonita Gray posted her second top-10 finish of the season after clocking in at 21:37.5. Howard, whose fourth-place showing marked her best collegiate finish, was the second runner from a participating team to cross the line. Liberty's Katrina Schleneker finished third in 20:47.0, while the top two runners were unattached with Grace Boone winning the race in 20:30.1

Deena Ludtke was one of seven Buccaneers to set a personal best on the 6K course as she placed 12th with a time of 21:40.9. Joining Ludkte with a PR were

The Bucs now turn their attention to the Southern Conference Championship, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 in Greenville, S.C.
