Beach Leads Bucs at Louisville Cross Country Classic

Five Bucs set personal best times

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2025) - The ETSU women's cross country team finished 24th at the Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday. 

Sophie Beach paced the Bucs in 101st out of a field of more than 300 runners with an 18:21.3. Kendall Johnson posted an 18:42.5, her fastest time to date in ETSU colors. Meg Lance's 18:48.7 beats her previous best from the 2024 SoCon Championship by 12 seconds. Camryn Johnson came home in 19:01.8, and freshman Eliza Everett rounded out the scoring places for the Bucs with a personal best 19:13.8. 

Senior Grace Singleton surpassed her PR set in September at the Southern Showcase with a 19:28.6 in Louisville, as did freshman Isabella Dentino with a 20:01.1. Overall, ETSU finished 24th out of 31 teams in the women's 5k, while West Virginia beat Clemson in a tight battle at the front of the field. 

The Bucs will race again on October 18th at the Roanoke Invitational in Virginia, the final race before the 2025 SoCon Cross Country Championship in Mill Springs, North Carolina.
