2024 Season (Senior) - In her lone season at ETSU, Markova made an immediate impact for the Bucs...Playing out of the No. 1 position in singles all season long, Markova compiled a record of 14-8, including a perfect 7-0 mark in SoCon action...Markova, teamed with freshman Alessandra Caceres, went 13-10 and did not drop a SoCon match...In her Buccaneer debut at Kentucky on January 14, Markova recorded her first win as a Buc with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Elizabeth Stevens...Won key singles bouts in victories over #57 VCU and against Furman that clinched the SoCon Regular Season Title for the Bucs...Was named the SoCon's Player of the Month for February...Markova also took home SoCon Player of the Week honors on March 26, April 2 and April 16...Following the regular season, Markova was named the SoCon Player of the Year and landed a spot on the All-SoCon Second Team for doubles...It marked the second straight season that a Buc had won SoCon Player of the Year honors (Laylo Bakhodirova - 2023).Â
2023 Season (Junior @ Northern Arizona) - All-Big Sky First Team in singles … Named Big Sky Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on February 1 … Finished season with 11-7 record in singles and 5-2 conference singles record … Won at No. 1 against #53 Colorado State 6-2, 4-6, 6-0 … Won doubles 6-3 against #53 Colorado State with Ava Neyestani…Clinched win over Montana with 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 … Clinched win over Montana Satte with win at No. 1 … Clinched doubles point 6-4 against Weber State with Neyestani … Won against Sacramento State at No. 1 in Big Sky Conference Championship Semifinals.
2022 Season (Sophomore @ Northern Arizona) - All-Big Sky First Team in singles play during her debut season with Northern Arizona ... Named Big Sky Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on April 19 ... Recorded a 13-4 record in singles play and finished the year on an 11-match win streak ... Held a 3-1 record at No. 2, 9-2 record at No. 3 and a 1-1 record at No. 4 ... Finished the regular season 7-1 against the Big Sky ... Clinched the team victory against Eastern Washington on March 27, Montana State on April 1, Idaho on April 10 and Portland State on April 16 ... Beat Idaho State’s Lola O’Lideadha 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 in the Big Sky Conference semifinals and led Weber State’s Pei-Hsuan Kuo 6-2, 5-3 with match point as Northern Arizona clinched the Big Sky Conference Championship ... Finished 5-8 in doubles, with a 4-2 record with Laura Duhl ... Pairing went 3-2 in Big Sky Conference play ... Holding a 3-1 at No. 3 mark with Duhl, won three of their final four doubles decisions including a 6-4 victory over Weber State’s Megan Lombardi and Yuuna Ukita at No. 3 to clinch the doubles point in the Big Sky Conference championship ... Trailed 5-2 against No. 11 California in the NCAA Tournament First Round match, but left it unfinished ...
