SOCON RELEASE

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 21, 2025) – The Southern Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday and ETSU's
Jace Hyde was named the League's Pitcher of the Week. This is the first weekly award that Hyde has earned in his ETSU career and it marks the second straight week that a Buc has earned the Pitcher of the Week honor (
Brady Frederick on April 14).

Hyde turned in his best start of the 2025 campaign in Friday's 11-0 win at Mercer. The sophomore right-hander allowed just two baserunners (a double, a walk) in seven shutout innings against the Bears. It marked the first time in 42 games this spring that Mercer did not score a run. He also got better as the game progressed as he retired the last 10 Bears he faced in order. Hyde, who struck out six hitters in the win, boosted his record to 6-0 this spring with that victory.

Hyde and the rest of the Bucs will return to action on Tuesday when they make the short trip over to Boone, N.C. for a non-conference tilt at Appalachian State. First pitch between the Bucs and Mountaineers is set for 6 p.m.
