GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 9, 2026) – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced its annual All-Region teams on Tuesday. ETSU's Tristan Curless landed a spot on the Southeast Region's First Team following a stellar 2026 campaign. By being selected to the First Team, Curless is eligible for the organization's All-American teams. Those teams will be announced on Friday, prior to the start of the College World Series.
 
In his final season with the Bucs, Curless was one of the top players in the Southern Conference (SoCon). He ranked among the top 10 in the conference in hits (4th – 76), RBI (4th – 63), batting average (6th - .367), home runs (T-6th – 15), and on-base percentage (7th - .462). The senior from Amarillo, Texas, was also one of ETSU's most reliable options out of the bullpen, going 1-0 with four saves. As a reliever, Curless posted a 0.79 ERA in 11.1 innings pitched. He also had 14 strikeouts and held opposing lineups to a .086 batting average out of the bullpen.
 
Curless is the fifth Buccaneer in the past four seasons to earn All-Region recognition, joining Nathanial Tate (2023), Cameron Sisneros (2024), Nick Iannantone (2024), and Cooper Torres (2025). The four straight seasons with an All-Region player for the program follow a stretch without one since 2017 (Hagen Owenby). Curless is also one of six players from the SoCon to earn All-Region accolades this season.
 
During his two seasons at ETSU, Curless played in 103 games. He hit .329 with 25 home runs and 107 RBI to go with an OPS of 1.036. Curless was an All-SoCon First Team pick in 2026 and a member of the conference's All-Defensive Team in 2025.
