SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Feb. 11, 2025) – ETSU women's tennis player Alessandra Caceres was named the Southern Conference's Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It marks the second weekly award that Caceres has earned in her career as she earned the same accolade on January 28.  
 
Caceres played an integral part in ETSU winning a pair of matches last week on the road at Appalachian State and Lipscomb. In doubles, Caceres teamed with Daniela Rivera to win both of their matches by scores of 6-2 and 6-3. Caceres, who was the SoCon Player of the Week on January 28, also went unbeaten in singles action winning those two contests by scores of 6-4, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-4.
 
Caceres and the rest of the Buccaneers will be back in action this weekend with a pair of matches in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Bucs will face Alabama on Friday at 3 p.m. before wrapping up their trip with a tilt against Minnesota on Saturday at 11 a.m.
