Women’s Tennis Earns Several Academic Awards from the ITA

The program and all six players on the roster earned recognition for their work in the classroom

TEMPE, Ariz. (July 13, 2026) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its annual academic awards on Monday and the ETSU women's tennis team was well-represented. The Buccaneers not only earned All-Academic Team honors but also all six players on the roster were named Scholar-Athletes in Alessandra Caceres, Mariangel Estrella, Niyati Kukreti, Audelie Lesauvage, Julia Millan, Ksenija Rage.
 
To be named an All-Academic Team by the ITA, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale). It is the fourth straight year that the Bucs have earned this honor. As for the honor of being named a Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year.
 
In 2026, 1,501 Division I Women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 231 Women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
