SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Jan. 28, 2025) – ETSU women's tennis player
Alessandra Caceres was named the Southern Conference's Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. It marks the first weekly award that Caceres has earned in her career, and it is also the first honor that the Bucs have collected in 2025.
Caceres played a key role in ETSU nearly upsetting Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon. The sophomore from Chile won her singles match (6-3, 6-3) out of the No. 3 singles position. That win got the Bucs on the board and nearly helped them upend the Hokies before ultimately falling, 4-3.
Caceres and the rest of the Buccaneers will return to action on February 5 when they visit Appalachian State. First serve for that matchup is set for 1 p.m.
