Both teams have entered a sizable contingent, headlined by standout sprinter Micailah Cook. The sophomore leads the SoCon in the 100m, 200m, and 400m sprints and set the school record in the 400m last week with a 53.76 at the Wake Forest Invitational. She is entered only in the 100m in Cullowhee this week, where she leads the conference with a best time of 11.55 seconds.
Tyla Nicholson is entered in both the discus and the hammer throw this week and is a medal contender for both. She sits third in the SoCon in the discus at 41.62m, and her best mark in the hammer is 46.44m, good for fourth in the SoCon.
On the men's side, Ben Smith enters both the 100m and 200m looking to improve on sixth and fifth place times, respectively. Freshman Milo Willets will look to build on his 400m hurdles time of 55.01 seconds, which has him fourth in the conference. Gavin Deery sits fourth in the SoCon in the pole vault at 4.51m, and he will look to best that mark this weekend.
Team captain Ethan Fulford is entered to compete for the first time in 2026 this weekend as he works his way back from an injury. Fulford is entered into the men's 200m sprint, 400m sprint, discus, pole vault, and shot put on Friday.
