Women’s Tennis lands four players on All-SoCon teams

Over half of ETSU’s roster received acclaim by the league on Wednesday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 15, 2026) – The Southern Conference (SoCon) released its annual women's tennis award winners and All-SoCon teams on Wednesday and ETSU was well-represented with four honorees. Alessandra Caceres (First Team Singles & Doubles), Ksenija Rage (First Team Singles & Second Team Doubles), Julia Millan (Second Team Singles & Doubles), and Mariangel Estrella (First Team Doubles & All-Freshman) all received recognition for their play this spring by the conference.

After being All-SoCon Second Team in singles as a freshman and sophomore, Caceres has moved up to the First Team as a junior. As a junior, Caceres went 12-7 in singles action, including a 6-1 mark in SoCon action. Caceres also paired with Estrella to 9-10 in the No. 1 doubles slot for ETSU. It is the second straight season that Caceres has landed a spot on the first team in doubles.

Rage, who was the SoCon Freshman of the Year a season ago, went 8-11 in singles and paired with Julia Millan to go 10-7 in doubles. Rage played solely in the No. 1 spot for the Bucs in singles throughout her sophomore season and went 5-2 in SoCon play. In doubles, meanwhile, Rage paired with Millan for the most victories by an ETSU this season (10).

As a junior, Millan was one of four Bucs to reach 12 or more singles victories in 2026 finishing with a 13-6 mark. Millan played her best in some big matches for ETSU as she tallied wins over players from Wake Forest and Virginia Tech this season. As mentioned earlier in doubles, Millan paired with Rage for the winningest doubles pair for the Bucs. They won five of their seven matches in SoCon play and tallied a victory in a road win over No. 69 Liberty.

Estrella made an immediate impact for the Bucs during her first season with the Blue and Gold. Estrella led ETSU with 15 singles this spring. Furthermore, she'll enter the postseason riding a 15-match winning streak. Estrella's last loss came all the way back on January 19 at Wake Forest. The freshman from Venezuela more than held her own in doubles as well teaming with Caceres for nine victories with four of those coming against fellow SoCon schools.

All the Bucs will return to action on Thursday when they open play in the SoCon Tournament. ETSU, which will be the No. 2 seed, will take on No. 7 seed Mercer at 10:30 a.m. from the Champions Club in Chattanooga in a quarterfinal matchup.
