Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - East Tennessee State softball dropped the Chattanooga series doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Bucs (15-19, 3-8 SoCon) fell 0-5 and 0-1 to the Mocs (17-21-1, 5-6 SoCon) at Frost Stadium.

GAME 1 NOTABLES (L, 0-5)

• Talya Stonebraker registered her first collegiate double in the top of the seventh inning as the lone hit for the Buccaneers in the outing.
• Addison Merritt drew a walk and Leinani Lutu wore a hit-by-pitch as the only two additional members of the team to reach base.  
• Hailey Porter led defense in the field with three assists and two putouts. 
• Taylor Suchy and Marissa Barnes each tallied two assists from the mound in the contest.
• ETSU collected nine strikeouts in the meeting, the most in a conference contest throughout 2026.
• Barnes and Chelsee Toon each recorded one strikeout against the Mocs in game one from the mound.
• The team totaled one hit, drew one walk and collected nine assists through 18 putouts.

GAME 2 NOTABLES (L, 0-1, 8 inn.)
How It Happened:
ETSU's first hit of the game arrived in the third inning when Porter singled up the middle with one out.  Porter then stole second but was unable to clear the bags as the second and third out rolled in.  The offense had movement again in the top of the fourth when Moore doubled to center and was advanced to third by a single from Stonebraker but the Bucs were unable to convert the momentum to a run.  The fourth hit of the contest for ETSU was a single up the middle from Stowell who was replaced by Taylor on the base path for a stolen base, but the Bucs were unable to bring a run around.  The fifth and final hit of the outing for the Bucs was a single from Coleman-Tillman in the top of the sixth.  Muncy executed on the pitchers mound for what can only be considered the makings of a career game.  Muncy threw her first complete game of the season, holding Chattanooga scoreless with just four hits through regulation, raking in a tied season-high of seven strikeouts.  Muncy sacrificed just one wild pitch and one walk through the seven innings on the mound.  Chattanooga was able to get a run across in the bottom of the eighth after a single that stole a base was driven in on a walk off double, calling game.

• Eden Muncy's complete game was the first by a member of the ETSU pitching staff this season, surrendering just one walk, six hits and one run while dishing a tied season-high of seven strikeouts.  Muncy also collected the team-high of two assists in the outing.
• Leilani Coleman-Tillman, Payton Moore, Talya Stonebraker, Maddison Stowell and Hailey Porter accounted for the five hits by the Bucs offense.
• Addison Merritt collected a season-high seven putouts as catcher in the second game of the day.
• Leinani Lutu and Stonebraker followed Merritt's efforts with three putouts apiece.  
• The team totaled 27 at-bats, five hits, one stolen base and collected four assists through the 21 putouts.
