JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 25, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team will return to action this week with a pair of road matches at Mercer on Thursday and Chattanooga on Saturday. Thursday's match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. from Macon, while Saturday's tilt is slated to get underway at 10 a.m.
ETSU enters the final week of March sporting a record of 10-5 this season. The Bucs still have an unblemished record in SoCon play at 3-0. As a team, the Bucs have won 65.5 percent of their singles matches (55-29) this spring, including a 17-1 mark in conference play.
Audelie Lesauvage (12 wins),
Julia Millan (11 wins), and
Mariangel Estrella (11 wins) all have reached double-digit win totals in singles this season for the Bucs.
Mercer began the season winning seven of its first 11 matches but have dropped five straight since then. The Bears are still looking for their first league win of the season with their two losses coming against Samford (4-3) and No. 66 Furman (7-0). Like most teams, Mercer has fared much better playing at home compared to on the road as the team is 5-4 in Macon compared to a 2-5 mark in road/neutral site matches.
Chattanooga has been one of the top teams in the SoCon this spring with a 13-2 overall record, which includes a 2-0 mark against in-conference foes. The Mocs' only two losses this season have been against Georgia Tech (6-1) and North Alabama (4-0).
Against the Bears, the Bucs are 25-0 all-time with the first matchup coming in 2006 when both teams were members of the Atlantic Sun. ETSU trails in the all-time series against Chattanooga, 28-14. However, the Bucs have knocked off the Mocs six straight times with Chattanooga's last win coming in 2018, 4-3.
