Women’s Tennis returns to action against Murray State

ETSU aims to get above the .500 mark against the Racers

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 5, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team will return to action on Friday when it hosts Murray State. First serve between the Bucs and Racers is set for Noon inside the mini dome. Live stats for Friday's match can be found HERE.
 
The Buccaneers currently have a record of 2-2 on the 2026 campaign. ETSU shut out Tusculum, 6-0, in its last match. ETSU's other victory was also a shut out with 5-0 triumph over Eastern Kentucky in its season opener. Both of the Bucs' losses this spring have been against ACC foes, NC State and Wake Forest.
 
Murray State, meanwhile, has won two of its first three matches this season. The Racers have earned wins against Cumberland (6-1) and Southern Indiana (5-2) with their lone setback coming against Austin Peay (6-1).
 
Over the last 10 seasons, the Bucs and Racers have met twice. ETSU came away with wins in both of those contests (4-0 – 2017, 6-1 – 2007).
