JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 31, 2026) – With a chance to secure home-field advantage for the quarterfinal round of the SoCon Women's Soccer Championship, ETSU closes out its regular season Sunday afternoon when the Buccaneers host The Citadel at Summers-Taylor Stadium. Kickoff between the Buccaneers, who will honor their six seniors before the match, and Bulldogs is set for 2 p.m.

MATCHUP: The Citadel (8-5-4, 3-4-2 SoCon) at ETSU (8-6-2, 5-3-1 SoCon)
DATE: November 1, 2026, at 2 p.m.
VENUE: Summers-Taylor Stadium

ETSU will enter Sunday's match with Citadel sporting an 8-6-2 overall record, which includes a 5-3-1 mark in conference play. A victory Sunday would give ETSU nine or more wins in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2015-16.

With one match to go in the regular season, the Bucs could finish anywhere from third to fifth in the SoCon standings. A win or tie would clinch a top-four seed for the Bucs, while a loss would keep ETSU as the fifth seed. Should ETSU finish third or fourth, it will host at least one match in the SoCon Women's Soccer Tournament. For more information on the SoCon Tournament, click HERE.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, have already logged their most wins in a season since 2022 in 2026. A major reason for this success has been their offense as the Bulldogs rank second in the conference with 36 goals scored. Furthermore, Jasiah Pack (11 goals) and Samantha Grantham (10 goals) are first and second among SoCon players in goals scored this fall.

Historically, the Bucs have held the edge against the Bulldogs with an all-time record of 13-3-1. ETSU has won the last four matchups by a combined score of 10-1. Citadel's last win over the Bucs came in 2021 by a 2-0 final score.
