JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 22, 2026) – The ETSU men's tennis team will open its home schedule on Friday with a non-conference tilt against Tusculum. The match, which will be played inside the mini dome, is scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m.
 
The Buccaneers enter Friday's match with Tusculum sporting a 1-3 record overall. ETSU notched its first win of the spring season on January 13 by knocking off Eastern Kentucky on the road, 4-3. A highlight for the Bucs so far this season has been the play of Oscar Martinez. Martinez has not dropped a match so far in 2026 and was named the SoCon Player of the Week on January 20.
 
Tusculum has not played a match so far in 2026. The Pioneers compiled a record of 8-12 a season ago. That was Tusculum's first losing season in men's tennis since 2011 when it went 6-12.
 
Friday's match will be the first ever meeting between Tusculum and ETSU in men's tennis.
