ETSU is tied for sixth in the conference standings with Furman and Western Carolina heading into the penultimate weekend of play. The Catamounts and Paladins will square off this weekend before WCU ends the regular season with UNCG and Furman closes with a series against Mercer.

Senior infielder Cameron Young has led ETSU with a .407/.494/.526 slash line after being named the Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year. Her on-base percentage ranks second in the conference, while her average sits in third in the SoCon.

Freshman Catlin Pennington was masterful inside the circle in ETSU's win over , throwing a career-high 6.1 innings and allowing just one run to earn her first career win. Pennington scattered seven hits and two walks with just one strikeout while allowing only three runners into scoring position all game.

Wofford is led at the plate by Hannah Maddox with a .351 average. Brianna Stanley is hitting .343 with a team high seven home runs and 29 RBI. The Terriers have been extremely aggressive on the basepaths, with a conference-best 78 steals as a team. That mark is good for 37th nationally in steals per game. Kaytlin Greenwood has 18 steals and Abbi Campbell is a perfect 11-for-11.

Margaret Axelson has led the Terriers' staff with a 1.93 ERA, while Abby Greenwood has added a 2.29 mark, good for third and fourth in the conference. Axelson's mark is 38th in the country and her 16 complete games ranks 10th nationally.
