Played in 15 games and started five, all in the circle … went 1-2 with one complete game and one save … recorded a 6.38 ERA and 1.80 WHIP across 45 IP … had 11 strikeouts.

Prior to ETSU
Pennington comes to ETSU from Jackson, Kentucky … a five year letterwinner at Breathitt County High School … had a season best 368 strikeouts and 0.992 ERA in the circle … allowed just 28 earned runs over 775 batters faced …  earned first team all-state honors as a senior and junior … named second team all-state as as sophomore … also was honorable mention all-state as a freshman … hit .532 with a .605 OBP and stole 40 bases … helped Breathitt County to the district and state tournaments for the first time in 13 years as a freshman … won the Region 14 player of the year award … was given the Vernon Bib outstanding softball pitcher award.
