The two throwers from the ETSU men's track and field team competed in the App State Open on Friday and Saturday. Bell won the hammer throw and added a podium finish in the shot put while Wagner posted top 10 finishes in both events.
Bell won the hammer throw on his final toss, setting a personal best 54.05m, then came home third in the shot put the next day with a 15.33m throw. Wagner set a season-best mark in the shot put at 14.98m to finish fifth in the event and came home eighth in the discus with a 41.32m mark.
Just two meets remain before the SoCon Championship in May, beginning on Friday with the Catamount Classic in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
