SPARTANBURG, S.C. (April 1, 2025) – ETSU women's tennis player Daniela Rivera was named the SoCon Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday by the league office. Rivera joins fellow Buc Alessandra Caceres as ETSU players that have earned SoCon Player of the Week honors twice in 2025.
 
Rivera led the charge for ETSU last week in road matches at Wofford and Samford. Rivera won both her singles and doubles match in Friday's tight 4-3 win at Wofford. Rivera followed that by winning her No. 1 singles match against Samford's Emily Surcey, 6-4, 6-4, on Sunday.
 
Tuesday's weekly honor is Rivera's third of her ETSU career.
 
Rivera and the rest of the Buccaneers will return to action on Thursday when they host UNC Greensboro at 1 p.m.
