Prior to the loss to the 49ers, ETSU had won five matches in a row and seven of its last eight contests. The Bucs are 7-5 overall this spring and have faced a tough schedule with all five of their losses coming against teams that are currently ranked in the ITA National Poll.
FIU has won its last six matches and has an overall record of 8-2 in 2025. The Golden Panthers' only two losses came against nationally ranked Florida and UCF earlier this season. Individually, FIU has a pair of players in the ITA National Singles Rankings in No. 75 Ekaterina Khayrutdinova and No. 91 Oyinlomo Quadre.
FAU, meanwhile, is one of the last remaining undefeated teams in the country with a 9-0 record. The Owls need just two more victories to match their best start in the history of their program (11-0 in 2024). Five of FAU's nine wins have been shutouts in 2025.
ETSU has never defeated FIU in five all-time matchups. Tuesday will mark the fifth straight season that the Bucs and Golden Panthers have met. As for FAU, the Bucs have won the previous two meetings by scores of 4-2 and 5-2. The last time these two programs met was back in 2011.
