SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Oct. 28, 2025) – Just keep running, and the rest will sort itself out. That's the mindset that has put
Jaime Carrillo at the forefront of ETSU's offense in 2025.
The Bucs' leading goal scorer was named the SoCon Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 28, 2025, as announced by the SoCon office on Tuesday afternoon. The weekly award is the first for an ETSU player this season.
Carrillo scored the only brace for a SoCon forward in the week's action with two goals 3:29 apart in the second half to push ETSU to a 4-2 win over Wofford. The junior from Amarillo, Texas, is the seventh-leading goal scorer in the SoCon with five and is fifth in goals per game at 0.38.
ETSU wraps up the 2025 regular season at VMI on Saturday at 3:00pm. They will clinch the third seed in the 2025 SoCon Men's Soccer Championship with a win or a UNCG loss to Mercer.
