ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU is 1-3-1 through its first five games of the season
- The Bucs have had a unique start to the road swing as it began with a 1-1 draw at Davidson on Aug. 29 night when the game called in the 80th minute following a power outage … Last Sunday, the Bucs played at Kennesaw State where ETSU led 1-0 at halftime but the game was ruled a no-contest after inclement weather canceled the remainder of the game
- The last time ETSU played a full regulation game was on Aug. 25 against Liberty
- Ruby Teixeira scored her first goal of the season off a rebound from Grace Eatz in the 17th minute in the game at Davidson
- Teixeira, Eatz and Reagan Fitzgerald have accounted for the three Buccaneer goals this season
- Ashton Blair has registered 27 saves in the five matches this season … For her career, Blair has totaled 154 saves, placing her seventh all-time among Buccaneer goalkeepers … Blair, last year's Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, needs 10 more saves to pass Erin Bilyeu for sixth all-time
- Blair also has posted 12 shutouts over her career and with one more clean sheet, the Knoxville native will tie the all-time program record held by Jasmine Elliott (2013-16)
ABOUT DUKE
- Duke has won three of its first four games to start the 2024 season
- The Blue Devils' lone setback came in the season opener where Duke fell 1-0 at Ohio State
- Duke has won three straight with wins over Nebraska (3-0), UNC Wilmington (4-0), and No. 2 North Carolina (1-0)
- On the season, the Blue Devils have outscored their opponents, 8-1, while being plus-53 in shots (78-25) and plus-19 in corner kicks (22-3)
- Seven different players have accounted for Duke's eight goals with Maggie Graham pacing the team with two goals … Graham netted the game-winning in the win over the second-ranked Tar Heels on Thursday
- Duke has played three different goalkeepers on the season with Leah Freeman getting the starting nod in all four matches … Freeman has allowed the lone goal on the season, while pacing the group with nine saves
- Duke entered the season ranked No. 24 in the preseason poll
SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday will mark the first-ever meeting between ETSU and Duke
- This will be the first time the Bucs are playing an ACC opponent since Sept. 10, 2018, when ETSU played at Virginia Tech
