Women’s Tennis returns home to host Wofford

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 7, 2024) – The ETSU women's tennis team will return home on Friday afternoon to host Wofford in Southern Conference action. First serve between the Buccaneers and Terriers is set for Noon.

ETSU, now 6-5 on the season, is coming off a 7-0 shutout victory over Radford on the road on Monday. The Bucs have been playing well lately as they have won six of their last eight matches dating back to the start of February. All five losses for ETSU this season have been to either nationally-ranked teams or squads from either the ACC or SEC.

The Terriers enter Friday's match in Johnson City with an 8-3 record on the 2024 season. Wofford has almost reached its win total from all last season (nine victories) already this spring. Like the Bucs, the Terriers have been playing well lately. Wofford has won eight of its last nine matches that includes five shutouts during that stretch.

ETSU is 24-4 all-time against the Terriers and have won the last 15 matches between these two programs. Wofford will be looking for its first win over the Bucs since 2014 on Friday.
