RALEIGH, N.C. (March 28, 2024) – Four Buccaneers were in competition on the opening day of the Raleigh Relays Thursday at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility.
Jason Bowers, the last ETSU student-athlete to make his appearance on Thursday, finished eighth overall in the 5000m with a time of 13:42.68. Bowers, who was in the final section of the event, was one of 198 athletes to finish the race under the lights.
Myles Stoots was also on the track on Thursday as he set a season-best in the steeplechase with a time of 9:07.41.
Earlier in the day,
Logan Wagner and
Brent Bell were the first Bucs in action as they represented the Blue & Gold in the shot put.

Nine Bucs will be in action on Friday with Logan Wagner being the first ETSU athlete in competition. Wagner will be in the discus, which is scheduled for 2:15 p.m.
