SPARTANBURG, S.C. (March 20, 2024) – The Southern Conference announced on Wednesday that ETSU women's tennis player Ralitsa Alexandrova has been named the Conference's Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from March 13-19.
 
Alexandrova, who was named the SoCon Player of the Week on Tuesday, went 3-0 in matches against No. 63 South Florida and No. 28 FIU. On March 12 against USF, she clinched the doubles point for ETSU with her partner Jana Rovira. She also won her singles contest to help ETSU tally a 4-3 win over the nationally-ranked Bulls. Against FIU on Friday, Alexandrova also notched a singles win in straight sets. On the season, Alexandrova is 10-3 in singles action.
 
Alexandrova is the seventh Buccaneer this season to earn SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week honors and the first from the women's tennis. The seven honorees are the second-most behind only Furman's eight recognitions.
 
Alexandrova is majoring in management at ETSU and holds a 3.58 GPA.
