The Bucs are coming off a home win over Memphis. Senior guard
Courtney Moore scored a season high 25 points on 4-for-7 shooting from 3-point range. Senior guard
Braylyn Milton and redshirt junior guard
Paige Lyons added 14 and 11, respectively, in the win.
ETSU shot a season-high 22 free throws against the Tigers, hitting 16 of them. The Bucs' ball movement has been improved in the three game win streak, with ETSU totaling season bests of 14 and 19 assists against Presbyterian and Memphis. The Blue & Gold have also taken care of the ball well in the two latest wins, with just 13 turnovers in each contest.
West Virginia fell slightly to No. 15 in the AP Poll after a narrow loss to No. 4 Texas in the Gulf Coast Showcase Championship. The Mountaineers excel at forcing turnovers, with 20+ opponent giveaways in every contest but their lone loss, including a season high of 44 against Niagara. WVU also averages 15.3 steals per game as a team.
The Mountaineers are led by guard JJ Quinerly, who averages 18.6 points and 3.0 steals per game. Quinerly is joined in the backcourt by Jordan Harrison, who totals 15.2 points per game, and Sydney Shaw adds 13 per game for the explosive West Virginia offense.
Friday morning's contest, which is West Virginia's Education Day, will mark the first ever matchup between ETSU and WVU.
