Women’s Tennis Finishes Play at the ITA Conference Masters

Next up for the Bucs is the spring season

ROME, Ga. (Nov. 9, 2024) – ETSU women's players Daniela Rivera and Alessandra Caceres both tallied victories in this week's ITA Conference Masters Championships.

Rivera, who competed in both singles and doubles, opened with a hard-fought three-set loss to Oklahoma State's Gracie Epps to start play on Thursday. Rivera, however, rebounded to notch a win over William & Mary's Hedda Gurholt, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.

Rivera also teamed with Caceres as the SoCon doubles representative for the tournament. The duo from Johnson City overcame a loss in the first set to win their opening round match against a team from Cleveland State. The run would come to an end in the next round, however, by a scores of 7-5 and 6-4.
