2025 Season (RS-Senior) - During his final season as a Buc, Yakubinis played in 56 of the team's 58 games splitting time primarily between catcher, first base and right field...He hit .284 with six home runs and 42 RBI...Yakubinis also went a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen base attempts...The Charlotte, N.C. native garnered Preseason All-SoCon First Team honors as a catcher...Yakubinis was tabbed the SoCon Player of the Week on March 10 after hitting .571 with two runs scored, two RBI, and a stolen base in a series win over ACC foe Pittsburgh...Hit 5-for-13 (.385) with a home run, six RBI and five runs scored in the SoCon Tournament and landed All-Tournament team honors to help lead ETSU to the title.
2024 Season (RS-Junior) - In his first season in Johnson City, Yakubinis played in 42 games (30 starts) for the Bucs...For most of the season, Yakubinis was ETSU's primary right fielder...Made a splash in his ETSU debut on February 16 vs. Lafayette going 3-for-4 with four runs scored, three RBI, and a home run...Overall, Yakubinis hit .315 with one home run and 30 RBI...The Charlotte native also scored 24 runs, totaled 11 doubles and added a pair of triples...Along with fellow Buc Noah Gent, Yakubinis broke the program's single season record for sacrifice flies in a season with seven...Posted 10 multi-hit games in 2024...Knocked in multiple runs eight times in 2024...In SoCon play, Yakubinis hit .310 with 12 RBI and finished the conference slate with a .799 OPS...Did not make an error in the field in 70 chances and played a part in three double plays.
Prior to ETSU - Comes to ETSU after two years with Gaston College (Dallas, N.C.)...In 2023, Yakubinis appeared in 50 games and hit .257 with six home runs and 48 RBI...He stole eight bases, scored 40 runs for the Rhinos as well...In 2022, he hit .341 with six home runs and 63 RBI to earn All-Region 10 honors as Gaston College finished 41-9 overall, won the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 10 Division II's Western title and were ranked as high as No. 5 in one of the final polls while being ineligible for national postseason play as a first-year team....Originally committed to play at Appalachian State out of high school...Made one appearance as a Mountaineer during the 2020 season...Had two at-bats against Kentucky on February 22...As a high school player at Providence High School, Yakubinis helped lead them to a 25-4 overall record and 12-0 mark in conference action as a senior … Member of the Carolina Bulldogs’ travel team that won the 2018 PGBA 17U WWBA Qualifier … Named to the All-Tournament team at the 2017 WWBA 16U National Championship … Noted as an honorable mention to the Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American team for the Atlantic Region as a senior.
