RADFORD, Va. (Sept. 30, 2026) - The ETSU men's soccer team looks to keep its strong run of form going with a visit to the Radford Highlanders on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Cupp Stadium.

The Buccaneers have won four of their last six after Joe Gonzalez scored late to beat VMI 2-1 on Sunday. Gonzalez had a goal and an assist to bring him to 10 points in his freshman season so far. Gonzalez and Gavin Dick are both chasing the ETSU freshman scoring record which was set by Hauk Andreas Fossen in 2019 with eight goals and sixteen total points. The two freshmen have had great success alongside Jaime Carrillo, the SoCon's leading goal scorer and seventh in the nation in total goals entering action on Tuesday. Carrillo was named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 28, 2026.
The Highlanders have dropped four of their last five, the lone reprieve being a 3-1 victory over VMI last Wednesday. Noel Zimbeva leads Radford with three goals so far this season in the program's first year under Andy Cormac. The Highlanders have already exceeded their win total from the previous two years combined in 2026.
This is the 12th meeting between ETSU and Radford in men's soccer. The Bucs lead the series 5-2 with four draws. The Bucs are 3-0-3 against Radford in the last six meetings, including a 2-2 draw in Johnson City on September 10, 2025.
