Edwards now has four points (two goals, two assists) in his last two games, and Jaime Carrillo has points in consecutive games, as well, with a goal against Longwood and an assist against the Hokies.
The Bruins return to Johnson City for the first time since 2021 hot on the heels of a 2-0 win over cross-town rival Lipscomb on Tuesday. ETSU marks Belmont's second SoCon opponent of 2026, with the Bruins having played Mercer to a 1-1 draw last Friday. Belmont was picked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll and is led in scoring by North Carolina transfer John McDowell and 2025 MVC All-Freshman pick Paul Claes Nielsen with two goals apiece.
This is the 11th meeting between ETSU and Belmont in men's soccer. The two squads last met as conference foes on a neutral field in Greensboro on November 5, 2021, a game which the Bruins won. Belmont holds a 5-4-1 advantage in the series and is 3-0-1 in their last four matchups against the Bucs. ETSU's last win over Belmont came October 29, 2019, when Dominic Foster scored in the 105th minute in the aftermath of a corner kick to give ETSU a 1-0 win in double overtime.
