GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 6, 2026) – The No. 60 ETSU men's tennis team clinched a share of the SoCon Regular Season Championship on Monday afternoon with a 5-2 victory on the road at Furman. The win, which was ETSU's 18^th in a row, boosts ETSU's record to 18-3 overall and 6-0 in SoCon play.
 
Furman took two of the first three points in Monday's contest. Oscar Martinez and Martin Vergara won their doubles match, 6-1, while Martinez got the Bucs on the scoreboard with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Nico Snyder in singles.
 
Trailing 2-1, the Bucs reeled off four consecutive wins from Vergara, Kai Cowcher, Arenui Luethi, and Carlos Gonzales to erase the Paladins' lead and clinch the win for the Bucs. Gonzales' 6-4, 6-4 win in the No. 6 flight clinched the victory for the Blue and Gold.

ETSU will close out its regular season on Wednesday when it travels to take on The Citadel. If the Bucs knock off the Bulldogs, they will lock up the outright SoCon Regular Season Title. First serve between the Bucs and Bulldogs is set for 2 p.m.
