Box Score COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - East Tennessee State softball dropped a midweek meeting with in-state rival Tennessee Tech on Tuesday evening. The Bucs (17-24, 5-10 SoCon) fell 3-5 to the Golden Eagles (16-27, 11-10 OVC) at Tech Softball Field.

How It Happened:
Muncy led the Bucs in the rings to hold the Golden Eagles scoreless through the first four innings while the offense got busy. Moore fired off her eighth home run of the season for the first run of the day and was followed by Porter's sac fly which brought Martens in, who reached on a walk. The third run for ETSU arrived in the top of the fourth after a single, a pair of fielders choices and two walks loaded the bases for a wild pitch to bring Croley across the plate. From then on through the final frame, the Bucs remained scoreless while the Golden Eagles put three runs on in the bottom of the fifth and two in the bottom of the sixth to clinch the win.
- Payton Moore boasted her eighth career home run in the outing to extend her reign as team leader in home runs.
- Alongside Moore, Lutu and Boone were the only additional Bucs to tally a hit as Lutu registered her seventh double of the season.
- Riley Martens drew the team-high of two walks and Lutu, Boone and Rieger collected the additional three.
- Lutu led the team in putouts with four and was followed by Boone, Rieger and Martens with three apiece.
- The team totaled 20 at-bats, three runs, three hits and two RBI, drew five walks and collected four assists through the 18 putouts.
