ATHENS, Ga. (April 13, 2026) – The ETSU baseball team will close out its eight-game road swing with a midweek game at No. 5 Georgia on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch between the Buccaneers and Bulldogs is set for 3 p.m. on SEC Network Plus.

Last Time Out – ETSU secured its fifth consecutive series win over the weekend as it won two of three games at Belmont. The Bucs won the first two games by scores of 6-3 and 8-4 before the Bruins won the finale, 10-8. With last weekend's results, the Bucs are now 23-10 on the season.
Make it Double – While the Bucs have hit one home run over the last five games, they have still been able to rack up several extra base hits thanks to 16 doubles during that same stretch. ETSU now leads the SoCon in doubles per game (2.2) and all but one position player has contributed to that total in 2026. Leading this charge has been the trio of

Ferguson extends his reached base streak – After collecting at least one hit in all three games against Belmont,
Henry Ferguson's reached base streak has been extended to all 33 games this season. Only VMI's Owen Prince (35 games) has a longer reached base streak among SoCon players than Ferguson.
About the Buccaneer bullpen – Tuesday, like most midweek games, will see plenty of relievers see action for ETSU. Overall, the Buccaneer bullpen has an ERA of 4.04 with a record of 11-3 and an opponent batting average of .239. The Bucs have seven different relievers that have thrown over 11 innings this season with
Reid Brosnan leading the charge with 26.1 innings in relief.
Protecting Late Leads – Tying into the success of ETSU's bullpen this season has been its ability to protect a lead in the mid to late innings. When the Bucs have a lead after the sixth inning, they are 19-1 this season. That trend holds steady when ETSU leads after the seventh (16-1) and eighth (15-1) innings as well.
About Georgia – Georgia enters Tuesday's matchup with the Bucs ranked fifth in the nation according to D1Baseball.com's latest national poll. The Bulldogs are 29-8 this season with 23 of those victories coming on their home field. Georgia has a potent offense leading Division I with 98 home runs, while ranking seventh nationally with a .324 team batting average. The Bulldogs also rank among the top 10 nationally in fielding percentage (T-5
th – .983) and shutouts (T-3
rd – 5).
Series Rewind against the Bulldogs – Tuesday will be the 13
