OVERLAND PARK, Kansas (March 4, 2026) – ETSU's sophomore shortstop
Henry Ferguson was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on Wednesday morning by the College Baseball Foundation.
Ferguson has been ETSU's leading hitter through the first three weeks of the 2026 season. The Knoxville native is hitting .455 with one home run and 13 RBI. Ferguson has also worked a team-high 11 walks and paces the Bucs with six stolen bases.
The award honors the nation's top shortstop and will be presented by the College Baseball Foundation later this year. It is named for former Texas Tech shortstop Brooks Wallace, who played for the Red Raiders from 1977 to 1980. Wallace died of leukemia at the age of 27.
Ferguson and the rest of the Bucs will be back in action on Friday when they begin at three-game series at James Madison. First pitch between the Bucs and Dukes is set for 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
