GAME 1 NOTABLES (W, 21-2 at Furman)
How It Happened:
Offense started early as the Bucs put up four runs in the first frame.  Taylor singled on a bunt and was driven home by a double from Boone, who was then driven home on a double from Moore.  After Moore's double, a trio of walks commenced which pushed Moore across the plate and loaded the bases.  Martens then brought home the fourth run of the inning on a sac fly with Porter crossing the plate.  Furman was able to get one run around in the first from a single, two ground outs and a single to bring the run in.  A solo homerun from Boone in the top of the second was the lone run scored in the frame for both teams, giving ETSU the 5-1 advantage.  The Paladins tossed their second and final run of the contest on the board in the bottom of the third through a pair of singles and a fielders choice.  A Furman error on a Taylor bunt allowed Coleman-Tillman to score in the top of the fourth, with the score at 6-2.  The Bucs put their seventh run on the board after Croley advanced to third from a walk, wild pitch and ground out.  She was driven home by a single through the left side from Stowell.  The Bucs held the Paladins scoreless through the final three frames and wrapped the offense with a 14-run inning - the most runs in an inning in program history.  Six walks, six singles, a pair of doubles and a triple from Croley drove in the 14 to secure the run-rule and clinch Milligan's 600th career win.
  • Whitney Boone led the offense with a 4-5 day at the plate.  Boone doubled twice and sent a solo blast over the left center fence for her third career home run and her second of the season.  She brought in seven of the 21 total runs for the historic victory.  Boone was one of two individuals in the blue and gold to post two doubles in the contest.
  • Hailey Porter ran a defensive masterclass with an individual season-high and career-high five assists in the field with two stopped balls up the middle.  Porter tallied two putouts among her five assists and went 1-3 at the plate with one walk, one RBI and crossed the plate three times herself.
  • Leinani Lutu registered a season-high three assists behind the plate with one putout.  On offense she drove in two runs and cross the plate once herself.
  • Leilani Coleman-Tillman went 3-4 at the plate and drew one walk for her most productive offensive outing through her three seasons as a Buc.  She drove in two runs and collected two herself for career-highs.
  • Payton Moore continued in her offensive dominance with a 1-3 day at the plate with one walk.  Moore sent four runs across the plate, two batted in and two individually. Moore was the second of two individuals in the blue and gold to post two doubles in the contest.
  • Riley Croley brought in three RBI with her first collegiate triple and registered three of her own runs.
  • Taylor Suchy collected her fourth win of the season after allowing just one walk and two runs through her five innings in the circle.
  • The team totaled 32 at-bats, 16 hits, 21 runs, 20 RBI, drew a season-high 12 walks and tallied a season-high 13 assists through the 18 putouts.
GAME 2 NOTABLES (W, 7-2 at Furman)
How It Happened:
The contest remained scoreless until a solo homerun from Lutu arrived in the middle of the top of the third inning.  The homerun opened scoring as Furman returned the favor with a single run from a triple and a single in the bottom of the third.  The momentum shift occurred in the top of the fourth after a bunt and a stolen base from Taylor, a flyout with an extra base for Taylor and a pair of walks to load the bases before a Lutu double to clear them.  Lutu then scored after a field error from the Paladins.  Furman added their second and final run to the board in the bottom of the third after a pair of singles and a stolen base.  ETSU held the Paladins scoreless through the final four frames but was able to put two additional runs on the board after Coleman-Tillman doubled and was driven home by Moore on a sac fly in the top of the fourth and Croley solo homered on the top of the fifth for her first career homerun.
  • Riley Croley recorded her first collegiate homerun in the top of the fifth with a solo blast over the right field fence.  Croley went 1-3 at the plate, drew one walk and put two runs on the board in the contest.
  • Leilani Lutu boasted her first homerun of the season and her fourth as a Buc with a solo shot in the top of the second.  Lutu went 2-3 at the plate with a career-high four RBI and two runs.
  • Leilani Coleman-Tillman went 2-4 at the plate with one run scored.
  • Catlin Pennington secured her fourth win of the season, limiting Furman to just five hits and two runs with two strikeouts through 4.0 innings pitched.
  • Eden Muncy recorded three strikeouts on the day, the most by any ETSU pitcher in the doubleheader, including the game-ending strikeout.  Two of the three were three-strike strikeouts.  She saw 3.0 innings on the mound and held the Paladins to just one hit.
  • The team totaled 27 at-bats, seven runs, eight hits, six RBI and drew seven walks at the plate.
