BOCA ROTAN, Fla. (March 19, 2026) – The No. 67 ETSU men's tennis team extended its winning streak to 14 matches on Thursday with a 4-1 win over No. 71 FAU. Thursday's win improves ETSU's record to 14-3 on the 2026 season.
The doubles portion of Thursday's match was competitive as the teams split the first two.
Oscar Martinez and
Martin Vergara accounted for ETSU's win, 6-4. The Owls, however, evened it at a match a piece before
Juan Listo and
James Sim notched a clutch 7-6 (8-6) win to clinch the doubles point for the Bucs.
Only four singles matches had a winner on Thursday. Three of the four wins went to Bucs coming from
Kai Cowcher, Vergara, and Martinez in that order. With the win, the Bucs have won 14 matches in a row, which is their longest since 2016 (15 in a row) and their second victory over a ranked team this season (No. 42 Charlotte – 4-3).
