JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 11, 2026) – The No. 68 ETSU men's tennis team began its Southern Conference (SoCon) schedule with a 5-2 win over UNC Greensboro on Wednesday afternoon. The victory is ETSU's 11
th in a row and improves its overall record to 11-3 on the season.
The Buccaneers tallied three wins in doubles on Wednesday by scores of 6-4, 6-0, and 7-5. ETSU has now earned the doubles point in eight of its 11 wins this season.
Moving onto singles, a Buccaneer has won four of the six contests. Following victories from
Kai Cowcher and
Carlos Gonzales,
Peter Kalocsai clinched the match for the Bucs with a 7-5, 6-1 win.
Martin Vergara also tallied a win on the day for ETSU.
