SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Feb. 23, 2026) – The Southern Conference (SoCon) announced Monday that ETSU's Michael Harpster was named the League's Pitcher of the Week. It is not only the first weekly honor for an ETSU player this season, but it is also the first time that Harpster has earned this accolade in his career.
 
Harpster was locked in for the Bucs on Saturday. Making his second start of the season, Harpster threw five no-hit innings to go with nine strikeouts in ETSU's big 26-3 victory over Sacred Heart. For the season, Harpster has struck out 13 hitters in 8.2 innings of work and is holding opposing hitters to a .111 batting average. 
 
Harpster and the rest of the Bucs will be back in action on Wednesday when they take on Appalachian State. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. from Thomas Stadium.
