JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Led by Veigar Heidarsson and Erik Tjarnberg's four-under par rounds, East Tennessee State University men's golf team shot an opening round 280 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, Monday, at Blackthorn Club. 

East Tennessee State currently sits in a tie for second place with Kent State, Eastern Michigan, and Toledo. 

Heidarsson and Tjarnberg currently sit in a tie for seventh place. Tjarnberg had seven birdies on the day, including five birdies on his last seven holes, as Heidarsson carded five. 

Oli Blackadder finished at a one-under-par 71. Blackadder carded two birdies and sits in a tie for 32nd place. 

Gavin Tiernan sits in a tie for 55th place after an opening round two over par 73, as Richard Saunders rounds out the lineup in a tie for 75th place with his opening round three over par 75. 

Joshua Pritchett, Mikkel Tingsted Blum, Theophile Lebrun, and Ben Oberholzer competed in the event as individuals. 

Pritchett and Blum sit in a tie for 55th after opening round one over par 73s. Lebrun is in a tie for 89th place after a six-over-par 78, as Oberholzer is in a tie for 92nd after an eight over par 80. 

The Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate continues tomorrow with the Buccaneers' tee times beginning at 11:10 a.m.
