JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2026) – More hardware has arrived as
Gavin Dick kicks a special season into high gear.
The freshman from Stirling, Scotland, was named the SoCon's Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 12, 2026. It is Dick's second weekly award of the season, and he is the first repeat winner of either the Offensive or Defensive Player of the Week awards in 2026.
Dick scored twice in a 2-0 win over Liberty on Saturday and also had an assist on October 6 against Gardner-Webb, bringing his totals to five goals and five assists this season. He leads the SoCon in assists and ranks tied for fourth in goals and is one of two SoCon players, along with fellow Buccaneer
Elliot Edwards, to appear in the top 10 of both lists. Dick is three goals away from the freshman single season record set by Hauk Andreas Fossen in 2019, one assist from Abdi Bahur's freshman record set in 2024, and one point from Fossen's record-setting mark with four games remaining.
The Bucs are at Winthrop for their final non-conference game of 2026 tonight at 6 p.m.
