Nate Brackett Named to FCS ADA Academic All Star Team

Brackett was one of 57 FCS players to earn this accolade

CLEVELAND, Ohio (Jan. 6, 2026) – The Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) released its Annual Academic All Star Team on Tuesday, and ETSU's Nate Brackett was one of the 57 student-athletes named to the team.
 
Brackett, who was one of four SoCon players named to the team, wrapped up his career in a Buccaneer uniform this past season. Overall, Brackett appeared in 43 games and attempted 200 punts. His career punting average finished at 42.7, and he set a new career-best mark, averaging 43.8 yards per punt in 2025.
 
Football players from all Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) institutions are eligible for the award. Each nominee was required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) in undergraduate or graduate study and to have been a starter or key player with legitimate athletic credentials. They must have reached their second year of athletics and academic standing at the nominated institution and have completed a minimum of one full academic year at the nominated institution. They also must have participated in 50 percent of the games played at their designated position.
